It didn’t take the Saints long to identify the turning point of their must-win game with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.

While the offense usually gets most of the attention, and rightfully so considering they lead the NFL in total yards, the much-maligned defense only gets looked at when it gives up more points than the offense can score.

But in the Saints‘ 30-20 win over the Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium, the defense deserved to take a bow. They held the Chiefs to six points instead of 14 when Kansas City had a first-and-goal at the Saints‘ 1 late in the second quarter and a first-and-goal from the 3 early in the third.
